Step-by-step guide
Plan your sequence
Decide how many touchpoints you want (e.g. Day 0, Day 1, Day 3, Day 7, Day 14) and what each message should accomplish — welcome, educate, overcome objections, offer.
Create a new workflow
Go to Automation → Workflows → + Create Workflow. Name it something like 'New Lead Nurture Sequence'.
Set the trigger
Use Form Submitted or Tag Added (e.g. tag: 'new-lead') as your trigger so the sequence starts automatically when a lead enters.
Build the Day 0 email
Add a Send Email action immediately after the trigger. This is your welcome email — deliver whatever you promised (a freebie, info, etc.).
Add wait steps between messages
After each email or SMS, add a Wait action. Set the delay (e.g. 1 Day, 2 Days) before the next touchpoint.
Add value-focused follow-ups
Each subsequent email should provide value: a tip, a case study, an FAQ, or a relevant resource. Save the offer/pitch for later in the sequence.
Add an exit condition
Use an If/Else or Goal step to stop the sequence if the lead books a call, makes a purchase, or replies to an email — so you don't over-message converted leads.
