Step-by-step guide
Create or identify your pipeline
Go to Opportunities → Pipelines. Either create a new pipeline or choose an existing one you want to automate.
Note your pipeline and stage names
You'll reference these exactly in your workflow trigger. Write down the pipeline name and each stage name.
Create a new workflow
Go to Automation → Workflows → + Create Workflow. Use the trigger Opportunity Stage Changed.
Configure the trigger
Select your pipeline and the specific stage this workflow should fire for. For example: 'Proposal Sent' stage.
Add actions for that stage
Common actions: send an email to the prospect, create a task for a team member, send an internal Slack notification, or add a tag to the contact.
Repeat for each key stage
Create a separate workflow (or branch in one workflow) for each stage that needs automation. Keep each workflow focused on one stage for clarity.
